What is a craftsman ?

Listed in the Ministerial Decree of 12 December 2003, but often not very well known, the 217 crafts identified constitute an important economic and cultural heritage.  

Craftsmen work to create unique items and small series of objects with traditional and contemporary lines. They are all masters of a traditional savoir-faire which enables them to restore and conserve art works and objects.    

During your walks in the Department, you will recognise these Artisan d’art or Maître artisan d’art professionals by the logo in their windows.
